On Windows XP, I used the directions in 'Option 1' at this address to
set up my NTL-webspace.

How do can I do the same in UBUNTU (set up my NTL-webspace?

At its simplest, open a console and go to the directory where your local
files are, then type:
ftp http://homepage.ntlworld.com/username
cd <wherever>
put <filename> or mput <filespec>

There is also a firefox extension.

For myself, I alwats use ncftp at the console.

Thanks for your reply !
I done the job by going 'Places' menu ,and selecting 'Connect to server...',
Selected 'FTP (with login), got several error-reports saying what it
thought I meant thus telling me what was right. Eventually got the
request for password and home.

PS, just a collection of things, but my webspace is:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/patrick.jdp/

Don't bother looking at folder called 'Genius' as it's only a driver
files that I've *just* put there to test (see date).

Do however see, 'ilikekittens.jpg' and 'dubble-cat.jpg'

Thanks again for your reply :)

You really should have an index.html file in there, you know. Directory
listings are all very well, but...
